Ultimate Flora® Adult 15 Billion contains 9 billion cultures of Bifidobacteria and 6 billion cultures of Lactobacilli to accurately represent the natural ratio of beneficial bacteria found in a healthy colon. With age and certain lifestyle factors, the level of Bifidobacteria declines, while the amount of harmful bacteria increases. The fact that the capsules are enteric coated means that you only need one, unlike alternative probiotics, where you have to take several capsules in order to attempt to get the probiotic bacteria through the stomach's destructive acid environment.
